Registration and accreditation

PBL Education Pty Ltd., trading as the International Graduate Institute (IGI), is a registered institute of higher education (PRV14347) and a registered provider of higher education to overseas students (CRICOS Provider Code 04116M).

All courses delivered by IGI are accredited by the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA), Australia’s independent national quality assurance and regulatory agency for higher education www.teqsa.gov.au, and are recognised in the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) www.aqf.edu.au.

IGI complies with applicable legislative and regulatory requirements, including but not limited to:

• Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) Act 2011
• Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act 2000
• The National Code of Practice for Providers of Education and Training to Overseas Students 2018 (The National Code)
• Relevant State and Commonwealth legislation regarding privacy, health and safety, employment and equal opportunity, equity and inclusion, and human rights.
IGI students are informed of their rights and responsibilities and of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements, through policies and procedures published on the website, Orientation programs, website content, campus notice boards and written communication (as applicable).
IGI general and academic staff are informed on legislation and regulations applicable to their remit through induction and via the policies and resources available on the SharePoint staff hub.

Course Assurance

PBL-IGI is a member of the approved Tuition Assurance Scheme for Australian domestic students and confirms to the requirements of the Tuition Protection Service (TPS) established by the Australian Government for overseas students. This assures that current, intending students of IGI courses that lead to a PBL-IGI issued AQF award will be offered a suitable alternative course or have unspent prepaid tuition fees refunded if IGI cannot provide the course for which the student has paid.
